Have you ever felt really excited about something and you go tell someone about it. You’re all enthusiastic, you’re telling them what you want to do, how awesome it’s going to be and all. Then that person laughs at you. Maybe ridicule you. That person tells you that’s never going to happen. Dream on. How the hell are you going to make it happen? Look at where you are now. It’s just not possible.
You feel like you just got yanked back down to earth. Your heart feels heavy and it hurts inside. How can this person say that? This is the one person you were counting on to support you, to cheer you on… but he’s laughing at you. Telling you to get real.
Then what do you do?
You could choose to believe what that person says. Or you can choose to tell that person to **** off. Maybe that dream seems impossible to him but not to you. You’re the type of person who makes it happen. It’s your dream, and your dream always come true.
You can then find someone else who believe in you and is willing to support you. If you can’t find anyone, do it anyway. What other people believe about what you can or cannot do does not matter. It is what you believe that matters. Don’t let other people’s opinion of you shape your life. It is your life.
“Let others lead small lives, but not you.
Let others argue over small things, but not you.
Let others cry over small hurts, but not you.
Let others leave their future in someone else’s hand, but not you.”
